Breast Reduction

Breast Reduction

Also known as “Mammoplasty”, breast reduction surgery aims at reducing the size of a patient’s breasts and reshaping them, by removing excess breast tissue. Large breasts are a burden on a person’s shoulders and back if they are disproportionate with that person’s body. Breast reduction not only enhances a person’s appearance but also relieves her from the physical and emotional encumbrance.
Results

The results of breast lift surgery are immediately visible. You will notice a loss in volume instantly after the surgery but swelling and bruising may take up to a few weeks to completely disappear.

Results should remain permanent. However, note that if you happen to gain or lose considerable weight, it may affect the fat cells remaining in the breast tissue and hence affect the appearance of your breasts.

Who can have this surgery?

If you are suffering from neck, back and shoulder pain due to heavy breasts or if your breasts are disproportionately large to your body frame, if you are unhappy with the large appearance of your breasts, then it is advised you consult your plastic surgeon in regards to a mammoplasty.
