Warts are an actual infection that occurs in the top layer of the skin, caused by a virus known as ‘human papillomvirus’ or HPV. When the virus invades this outer layer of the skin it causes a rapid growth of cells on the outer layer of the skin creating a wart. This virus is quite common and has more than 150 types whilst they are common to hands they can occur in other parts of the body as well.
Traditionally the only way to have these warts removed would be through a surgical excision or freezing or chemicals.
At Crystal Care Clinic, we have a much better solution with our Laser technology which can remove these warts by destroying the root vasculature which feeds the wart lesion, at the same time eliminating any risk of scarring. As a result, the blood supply is removed and the wart eventually dies off. This technique is less painful than any traditional method and doesn’t cause any destruction to the surrounding skin tissue making it safe on more sensitive areas.
