Medical Skin Peels
Description and Benefits:
The natural process of skin renewal changes and slows down with age, and sometimes it looks gray and tired, with decreased elasticity. Medical skin peels remove old skin cells and thus encourage the growth of a new one. They are recommended to treat a variety of skin problems including fine lines, wrinkles, scars, whiteheads, sebum, blackheads, acne and acne scars, rosacea, and solar keratosis, etc..
Crystal Care Clinic employs a specially developed protocol by our in-house doctors for the treatment of ageing skin, problematic, combination, acne/blemish-prone skin, as well as mild pigmentation. We use the highest grade of medical peels whose formulation is based on respect for the physiological characteristics of the skin. Our treatment allows the penetration of ingredients uniformly to deeper layers of the skin, so that the effect is maximized in all the layers of the treated area.
The Signature Medical Peel’s key components are:
1. Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA)
2. Beta Hydroxy Acids (BHA)
- Next to using sunscreen every day, a well-formulated AHA- and/or BHA-based treatment is critical to maintaining a healthy, hydrated, more even-toned complexion.
Who can have this treatment?
The doctors at Crsytal Care Clinic will examine your skin and take a decision on the type of peeling which should be carried out. If you are pregnant or you are breastfeeding, suffering from immunosuppressive disease (systemic lupus, scleroderma), if there is less than 6 months that you underwent surgery, radiation or laser treatment in the region where peeling will be implemented then you are NOT a candidate for this type of treatment.
If you have an active infection with herpes on the lips, the procedure should be postponed. In case you are taking isotretinoin, a procedure should be delayed till 6 months after surcease of using medicaments.
How many treatments do I need?
Depending on the skin condition we are treating, usually a minimum of 3 to 6 treatments are recommended.
